Avant-garde heavyweights Kayo Dot have announced the release of their new full-length album and follow-up to 2014’s critically-lauded Coffins on Io. The new record will be titled Plastic House on Base of Sky and will see a release through The Flenser on June 24. The record will feature five new tracks and will span the length of 40 minutes. According to a press release, the album “fully embraces Coffins on Io’s electronic allusions, incorporating a variety of synthesizers (many of them vintage analog) to create another work of ambition and magnitude that fuses the explosive musical imagination of a band like Magma with the forward-thinking experimentalism of Conrad Schnitzler or Morton Subotnick.”
The album’s artwork and track listing can be seen after the break.
